Robin Rowe is a creative technologist and C++ software designer.

Founder of the Linux Movies Group, a two-year-old industry association that meets monthly in Hollywood and the San Francisco bay area. Founded the Apple Shake Users Group and the Apple Motion Users Group.

Project leader for deep paint CinePaint, the most widely used open source software tool in feature film production. Project manager for GTK+OSX, an open source project to port GTK+ to Mac OS X Aqua.

Writes on graphics topics for many magazines including Linux Journal, Millimeter, and Computer Graphics World, SMPTE Journal, Dr. Dobb's Journal, and C/C++ Users Journal. See publications for more.

Speaks at conferences such as the Desktop Linux SummitSMPTE, NAB, AUVSI, Embedded Systems, Software Development, Windows Solutions, Object Expo, and C++ World.

Studied computer science at Northwestern University, mathematics and dance at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Grew up on an organic farm in central Illinois. Parents were pioneers in the natural foods movement.
